Lord Siva Returns
BY GUNAMAI D.D.
USA, Aug 30 (VNN) (see also VNN story #4441) As I usually do in the morning, I was skimming the leaves off the pond with a net. For some reason even though I had a lot of things to do and I was quite late, I didn't feel in a hurry. The pond has a fence around it with plants growing up the fence. You have to kind of lean over to really see inside the water. The sun shines on different parts of the pond by the hour, so the bottom isn't always visible in all areas. The pond is about 2 feet deep, 8 x 12 feet wide and the water has 1008 Holy Tirtha water in it.
There are water plants, some of them being yellow water lilies. There are about thirty various gold fish, a large frog, a few small frogs and two turtles. Every once in a while, someone will vandalize the pond by throwing in good size rocks, sticks, or knock over plants.
So...I was over by the water lilies and the sun was shining in one little area at around 10:10-10:15, and I noticed a dark form next to the filter by the water lilies. It seemed like a round rock I had seen outside the temple that has a little rust colored paint on it. So I thought, "those damned kids, they did it again." This time bringing a rock all the way from the front.
But I noticed some white lines. There were three white lines and the stone was black and smooth and I suddenly realized it was Lord Shiva. I couldn't believe it. It was like finding a long, lost treasure. He looked beautiful under the water. I ran and changed into shorts, and I told Mahanta that I found something special in the water. He was quite surprised when he saw me bring out Lord Shiva. I searched the pond just in case Lord Nrsinghadeva was there. By then the water had become murky and I couldn't' see much. I did a thorough search later, but He has not shown up yet.
