Former "Cintamani Web Cartel" Without Funding
USA (VNN) - IBIS (former "Cintamani Web Cartel" recently sent out the following appeal. IBIS made news recently with its claims to BBT copyrights. (See VNN stories #1736, 1752, 1834). Some are wondering if the following appeal is related to the current crisis in Europe involving funds that are controlled by Harikesa das:

Dear devotees of the Lord,
We need your help.
Everyday, thousands of people are getting acquainted with Lord Krishna and the Vaishnava philosophy, as given by His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada, through the Web presentations of the IBIS project. Now IBIS has reached a level where it has become very difficult to continue due to lack of funding. The continuation of this project now depends on your donations. If you feel that this project is worthy of your help, please read on.
IBIS is a project meant to provide the on-line community with high-end Vaishnava resources and presentations. Like most of the devotee projects around the world, IBIS is a volunteer project. We are not paid for what we do; we do it as a service to Krishna, the devotees, and the countless conditioned souls out there who all need that chance to go back to Godhead.
Dealing with the Internet and its technicalities, however, involves costs that require funding and support. Thus far, IBIS has received a limited funding from the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust International for its preliminary setup. Unfortunately that funding was discontinued. It very much looks like IBIS is destined to become a stand-alone project, and to maintain such a status it needs financial aid.
We hope you share our commitment to the devotees and on-line community and are willing to kindly help us out with a donation. Give what you can, no matter how much or how little.

What is this? Are you joking? First you attack all the bona fide first editions of Srila Prabhupada's books on the net by your bogus copyright claims and then you want money to continue your service? Excuse me, service to whom? To Kali, or what??? I can't believe it... You inconsiderately ruined the work of many months here. And you also ruined Madhudvisa's Online BG publication, which was a lot better than the awkward publication of the doubtful Jayadvaita-gita. Great. Thank you very much. Actually it must be Krishnas special mercy (to you!) that you run out of money.
You are good HTML-writers and your sites are looking very nice. But what is the use of all this framework, if there is poison and emptiness behind? Why not stop disturbing the preachers and devotees, who dedicated their life to Krishna and Srila Prabhupada, and humbly apologize for you behaviour before asking for money?
