Copyright Terror

USA (VNN) - Letters from the Internet:

Dear Madhudvisa and other prabhus,

please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. On Gaura-Nitais Homepage there is the german translation of the not revised Bhagavad-gita [(c) BBT 1974/1983] and the translation of the first book of CC Adi [(c) BBT 1977].
Although I tried my best not to come into conflict with the local disciples of Harikesa, now this dubios Cintamani Web Cartel, most probably wants to terrorize me with copyright suits. Maybe you can help me with your advice?

I don't think that I'm able to stand the copyright suits of the BBTI, because I'm not senior disciple of Srila Prabhupada and was never BBT trustee like Hamsadutta prabhu of course. Nevertheless, if they really start to sue me, then I'm ready to fight if there is at least a small
chance to free the german translations of Srila Prabhupadas books from this Harikesa regime.

Anyone knows about Vedavyasa prabhu? He is (main) translator of the books. I sent him Final Order about a month ago, but he didn't answer.
Is he still member/supporter of GBC-approved-ISKCON? Do you think there is a chance if I try to contact him for help on this issue?

Please don't make this public (for now)!!!

I really try to have this books online (there is almost nothing from Srila Prabhupada on the german section of the internet!), but first I will try to pacify this people.

Waiting for your advice,
your unworthy servant
Wolfgang

Cintamani Web Cartel
A division of the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust International, Inc.

Copyright and legal matters department

April 18, 1998

Dear Sirs,

Your Website, Gaura Nitai's Homepage, has recently come to our notice.
On it material has been used of which the copyright belongs to the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust International. It concerns the following addresses:

http://privat.schlund.de/gaura-nitai/bg.htm
http://privat.schlund.de/gaura-nitai/cc.htm
http://www.vlbg.at/privat/gaura-nitai/bg.htm
http://www.vlbg.at/privat/gaura-nitai/cc.htm

According to our records you did not have our prior permission to utilize this BBT material.

In order to help us solve this problem, please provide us with the following as soon as possible:

· A confirmation of whether or not you had prior permission from us.
· Any relevant documents showing that you had our permission.
· The name and title of the person in your organization with whom we may
discuss this.
· Any further information you feel would be helpful in resolving this
matter.

Thank you for your kind cooperation.

Sincerely,

Varnadi das
Legal assistant

Dear Madhudvisa,

pamho. agtsp. Thank you for your fast response. You were right. This guys cannot be pacified. I had not even a chance to reply to this dubious Cintamani Web Cartel. Now this Varanadi (disciple of Harikesa) starts to harass my providers with his claims. Really, they have learned their lesson from Scientology.

Isn't it obvious? This Ravana Harikesa tries to usurp all the books and translations of Prabhupada! His greed will never be satisfied. The bricks and the money are not enough. He wants the books, ISKCON, the GBC, Prabhupada, Krishna, the devotees -everyone and everything- to be his slaves. Just like Tirtha Maharaja in the Gaudiya math.

"We have actually seen that one of the disciples of Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura wanted to enjoy the property of his spiritual master, and the spiritual master, being merciful toward him, gave him the temporary property, but not the power to preach the cult of Caitanya Mahaprabhu all over the world. That special mercy of the power to preach is given to a devotee who does not want anything material from his spiritual master but wants only to serve him. The story of the demon Ravana illustrates this point. Although Ravana tried to abduct the goddess of fortune Sitadevi from the custody of Lord Ramacandra, he could not possibly do so. The Sitadevi he forcibly took with him was not the original Sitadevi, but an expansion of maya, or Durgadevi. As a result, instead of winning the favor of the real goddess of fortune, Ravana and his whole family were vanquished by the power of Durgadevi (srsti-sthiti-pralaya-sadhana-saktir eka)." (SB 5.18.22p)

Yes, it is high time. Otherwise the second "Gaudiya math disaster" will be complete soon... inclusive lots of revised and/or "carefully re-edited" books, dead-mantra-books without any transcendental potency, just for useless speculation and sense gratification...

Your servant,
Wolfgang
