"Cintamani Web Cartel" Changes Name

This text is sent to all Webmasters with sites listed in the Hare Krishna Index and those who maintain sites at www.iskcon.net.

Some time ago those who would apply for ISKCON Approval at The Complete Picture were told that the creation of a special Internet department was in progress. That department, named the Cintamani Web Cartel, would take care of such approval and offer additional services to the on-line Vaishnava preachers.

Over time The Cintamani Web Cartel has prepared these services and has tested its setup. However, due to very childish comparisons with well-known drug and weapon cartels in a public forum, the Cintamani Web Cartel felt the need to change its name to ISKCON-BBT Internet Services (IBIS).

The Hare Krishna Index (http://www.iskcon.org/hkindex/) is our full member listing. For now it lists all sites that were submitted to the Index since it was created by Sriman Vijay Pai and transferred to IBIS. However, to maintain your listing you will have to apply for IBIS membership. After three weeks the links to those Web sites that have not applied yet will be made non-active, and a reminder will be sent to their respective Webmasters. Another week later the Index will be purged of all non-members, so please take the opportunity and apply now!
