MIHE Schedule
BY JANMASTAMI DASA
MAYAPUR, INDIA, Feb 13 (VNN) Dear Devotees, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. Sri Caitanya Bhagavata declares that when a devotee studies in Navadvipa Dhama, then vidya-rasa, the taste for learning, awakens within his heart. As ISKCON grows, always hopeful of achieving the footing of a genuinely brahminical culture, MIHE offers its contribution in the very place where Nimai Pandita exhibited vidya-rasa, as Sri Dvija-mani, the jewel of the twice-born. True education is based upon brahminical culture and vidya-rasa. To accelerate educational development within ISKCON, the MIHE has adopted a "no-service charge" policy on all of its courses for all full-time teachers in ISKCON primary, secondary, and tertiary schools, as well as for any current or former students of these primary and secondary schools (Click for details). The Mayapur Festival Committee expects that more devotees will attend this year's Gaura Purnima Festival than in any previous Gaura Purnima Festival. In spite of the large turnout, devotees will have full facility to take shelter in serene MIHE classrooms where senior Vaisnavas and Vaisnavis will facilitate 28 courses that will help students enter into deeper understandings of Srila Prabhupada's teachings, mood, and mission. Because of the large enrollment expected, we encourage devotees interested in taking classes to go to the MIHE website at http://www.mihe.info to register online, thus ensuring placement in preferred courses. This is important because teachers in many of our courses limit course enrollment in order to optimize learning. Anyone who registers and pays online automatically qualifies for a 10 % discount on service charges for the semester courses. Online semester registration ends January 21st. Until January 21st, devotees may also preregister online, which guarantees availability of course materials on the first day of classes for courses with no limits and wait-lists placement in courses that do have limits. Preregistered students may remit their service charges upon arrival in Mayapur. Atul Krishna and Madhavendra Puri Prabhus, two of ISKCON's most experienced and effective sastric teachers, will offer ISKCON's first VTE Bhaktivaibhava Course. Due to the interactive nature of this course, we will limit enrollment to 35 students, on a first-come first-serve basis. If at all possible, please register online to reserve your spot. We are also pleased to announce our 2004 - 2005 VTE Bhakti-sastri Course schedule and the line-up of facilitators. We are looking forward to your association in Sridhama Mayapur and to serving your learning and spiritual needs. Please let us know if we may be of any assistance as you plan your pilgrimage to Mayapur by writing to us at mihe@pamho.net 2004 MIHE Semester Courses Students may register for one course or several courses and may enroll for one to six weeks of classes. | Vastu: An Aid to Spiritual and Material Development | Ajamila dasa | VTE Leadership and Management Course One | Anuttama dasa, Hanuman dasa | The Final Chapters of Bhagavad-gita | Atul Krishna dasa | VTE Teacher Training Course One | Atul Krishna dasa | VTE Teacher Training Course Two | Will be Offered in 2005 with Rasamandala dasa | VTE Bhakti-sastri Teacher Training Course | Will be Offered in 2005 with Rasamandala dasa | Srila Prabhupada - the Founder-Acarya | Bhakti Caru Swami Suresvara dasa | Science, Religion, and the Metaphysics of Love | Bhaktisvarupa Damodara Swami | Interreligious Dialogue: A Krishna Conscious Perspective | Bhaktisvarupa Damodara Swami | We Must Die to Live | Bhakti Tirtha Swami | The Vraja Pastimes of Krsna | Bhanu Swami | ISKCON Mediation Training Course | Braja Bihari dasa Vrajalila devi dasi | Sri Isopanisad | BVV Narasimha Swami | Spiritual Transformation: Exploring the Ajamila Pastime | Gauranga dasa | Pancaratrika Process of Deity Worship: Nitya-seva One | Jananivasa dasa, Pankajanghri dasa, Nrsimha Kavaca dasa | Pancaratrika Process of Deity Worship: Nitya-seva Two | Jananivasa dasa, Pankajanghri dasa, Nrsimha Kavaca dasa | Kirtana Reform Workshop (Sponsored -- No Service Charges) | Jayadvaita Swami | Classical Hatha Yoga Taught in the Iyengar Tradition (Separate sections for men and women) | Krodhasamani dasi, Kishor dasa | Ayurvedic Self-healing One | Dr. Liladhar Gupta | Exploring the Childhood Pastimes of Lord Caitanya | Lokanath Swami | The Artha of Krishna Conscious Economic Development | Praghosa dasa | Bhakti: The Heart of the Bhagavad-gita | Prahladananda Swami | Of Gods, Saints and Supermen (Part 3) | Prahlad Nrsimha dasa Tara dasa | Overhaul Your Spiritual Life (Satisfaction Guaranteed or Your Money Back) | Purnacandra dasa | Perfecting Our Chanting | Sacinandana Swami | Themes from the Bhagavad-gita | Siddhi-lalasa devi dasi | From Kanistha to Madhyama and Beyond: The Struggles, the Ecstasy, and Empowerment | Sridhara Swami | Harinama Cintamani: Begging for the Mercy of the Holy Name | Vedavyasa Priya Swami | 2004 VTE Bhaktivaibhava Course Facilitators Atul Krishna dasa & Madhavendra Puri dasa | 2004 - 2005 VTE Bhakti-sastri Course Facilitators Bhagavad-gita | Atul Krishna dasa, Tara dasa | Nectar of Devotion | Kadamaba Kanana Swami | Nectar of Instruction | To be announced | Sri Isopanisad | BVV Narasimha Swami | | Please visit our website at http://www.mihe.info for more information and to preregister or register online. | 2004 – 2005 MIHE Schedule | January 21 | Semester Preregistration / Online Registration Deadline | January 26 – 31 | 1st Week of Semester | January 28 | Sri Advaita Acarya's Appearance Day (No Classes) | February 2 – 7 | 2nd Week of Semester | February 4 | Lord Nityananda's Appearance Day (No Classes) | February 9 – 14 | 3rd Week of Semester | February 11 | Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura's Appearance (No Classes) | February 11 – 20 | GBC Meetings | February 16 – 20 | 4th Week of Semester | February 23 | Installation of the Panca Tattva Deities (No Classes) Bhakti-vaibhava Pre-registration / Online Registration Deadline | February 24 – 28 | 5th Week of Semester | February 24 – 29 | VTE Leadership and Management Course One VTE Teacher Training Course One | February 24 – March 1 | Navadvipa Dhama Parikrama | March 2 – 5 | 6th Week of Semester | March 6 | Gaura Purnima | March 8 – July 2 | VTE Bhaktivaibhava Course (1st & 2nd Cantos) | November 16 | Srila Prabhupada's Disappearance Day | November 22 – March 5, 2005 | 2004–2005 VTE Bhakti-sastri Course | March 25, 2005 | Gaura Purnima | March 28 – July 22, 2005 | 2005 VTE Bhaktivaibhava Course (3rd Canto) |
Details on the "no-service charge" policy for teachers and current or former students of ISKCON primary and secondary schools: We ask that devotees in these categories remit fees to cover the cost of course material. We will wait-list these devotees for any course with an enrollment limit until the course begins because of the large number of students expected this year. Former students of ISKCON schools must present proof of ISKCON school enrollment from either the schools or from the Youth Ministry before entering classes.
