An Appeal To The White House
BY JAMES ORDONEZ
USA, Feb 23 (VNN) Dear Mr. President,
Please accept my kind regards and apologies for this bother. Attached is a disturbing article about some Americans that have been in an Indian jail for over a year, in what seems to be an entrapment by the local Muslim police. The charges are an alleged multiple style rape of an Austrian six year old girl. However, according to the attached article there has been no evidence, and all the alleged witnesses claim to know nothing about any rape. These people have been apparently set by the local Indian government or police in some form of hate crime and almost terrorist approach to their imprisonment. I happen to have known one of the men accused, his name is Bhakta Dasa (Bill Bennedict), a Devote of the Hare Krsna Movement, who is also a business man. While I admit that Bhakta Dasa is not the strictest monk, as the church would desire (either are many Catholics, Jews, etc.), I can certainly attest as a character reference that this is NOT his M.O.

Under the circumstances, I believe, that a letter from the White House might possibly, at least, help to award these men bail. We believe that countries that make a habit of imprisoning Americans and other foreigners under circumstances such as these, where there is no evidence and there is every indication that they have been set up, these local governments need to be lumped into the terrorist category, whatever their motive, reasoning, or justification. Americans should not have to be afraid to travel and visit other countries due to neanderthal-like habits of local authorities. It is clear that Muslims do not like Hindus, and that the Hare Krsna devotees represent a clear expansion and a global proliferation of the Hindu beliefs. It is quite possible that this may be the motive behind these allegations.
In either case, the devotees of Lord Krsna make an appeal to the White House and to the president to please look into this matter and into the investigation that is going on. We do not believe the allegations. These charges are horrific. At least some of these men are Americans with good references.
Thank you kindly for your attention on this matter.
Sincerely.
James Ordonez
