AUSTRALIA, Oct 6 (VNN) — In Sydney Australia,the 2000 Olympic city, we have had no rain for over three months.Every garden has been very dry and the lawns are a sick yellow - brown colour.Just three hours after the most enthusiastic "Beautifull Bhajans at Bondi Beach" we have ever had, the skies opened up with glorious refreshing rain.It then rained throughout the night fully soaking the parched city.

These bhajans have been performed each month on the last sunday for sixteen months unbroken.Led by Dwaipayana prabhu and attended by whomever we could convince to come it has indeed been a yagna.These are open bhajans to all chanters of the holy names regardless of their sampradaya or alleigences to guru or sect.They are truly non-sectarian as Srila Prabhupada taught us Lord Chaitanya's Sankirtan Movement should be.This month we finally had devotees from all over Australia attending.There were representitives from several Gaudiya Vaishnava sects and even Sripad Shankaracharya sent representitives from some of his lines.

The atmosphere was both joyfull and dynamic.It was so enjoyable that I can only compare it to the mood we all experienced back when Srila Prabhupada was personally present in Melbourne and Madhudvisa was leading hundreds of devotees in transcendental happiness through the city streets to the joy of all Melbournians.

The significance of the yajna was also noticed by the world media attending the Olympic beach volleyball at Bondi Beach and several foreign crews filmed the bhajans.Local favorite sports commentators Roy and H.G.Nelson who have a show doing a nightly fun wrap-up of the day's Olympic activity did not miss the significance of the downpour which they pointed out had saved the Olympic city from a plague of "Bogong moths" which had been inundating most olympic venues for several days.They then went on to claim that this was caused by divine intervention and named the day SUPERNATURAL SUNDAY.
