USA June 1, 1999 VNN4013 Comment on this story Homeless Devotees Of Sri Krsna BY JAGANNATHA DASA USA, Jun 1 (VNN) — MOTHER MAHA WELCOME HERE (see VNN story # 3985, 3941) SRI has been following with interest the recent postings by Srimati Mahavagabati Devi Dasi whom we have both known and admired for well over twenty five years. Whatever difficulties she may have experienced over the last fewyears at the hands of other of our Godsisters and Godbrothers Mother Maha is still a very senior devotee ever intent upon the unceasinging distribution of the divine Gaudiya Vaishnava Siddhanta to each and every soul she encounters. Members of SRI too have felt the sting of unfair treatment for misdemeanors never committed by us but we prefer to move quickly on not daring to dwell upon such matters fearing they might serve to "trip the runner" and thus slow us down in our organzational mission of Krishna Seva. If I might offer one dangling note to Maha it would be to somehow try and throw off the wrongs she has suffered and move forward without too much comment. In the ever advancing end we wonder what so much retoric (however justified) really achieves? As for her current state of self described "homelessness" SRI is prepared to offer our holy Mother Maha full and free long term support with housing, food and even some limited medical care (within our means) as we suffer greatly at the thought of such an estatic senior Godsister living rough on the mean streets of Buffalo, New York. She may contact Vrnda Devi Dasi at 716-433-6322 and we will immediatly do the needful. When it comes to our fellow devotees, at least, surely we ARE forever our brother's keepers. This is, afterall, a philosophy of inclusion and not exclusion.
