USA November 15, 1998 VNN2507 Questions Regarding the Poison Investigaton BY PAPAHARINI DEVI DASI USA, Nov 15 (VNN) — Dear Devotees: Last year on December 20th, '97 I posted a request that Tamal Krsna Goswami address the international community of vaisnavas on the allegations concerning the poisoning of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada (See related story on VNN - World# 1403). After nearly one year, along with many important findings and unanswered questions that he could and should answer, he simply remains silent. If he was innocent of all those accusations made, he could declare it boldly! Otherwise any attorney would advise his silence in order to protect what he knows. A sannyasi's life is an open book. If Tamal Krsna Maharaja's behavior was appropriate as a senior representative human being in the final months and hours of our spiritual master's vapu association, why he does not address the devotees? Why does he not provide some substantial reassurance to the godbrothers and sisters that all of his actions were performed with the best of intentions and with Srila Prabhupada's "best interest at heart"? Why, now that he holds high academic honors and position amongst religious scholars, and sits on a seat of a reputed University's Director's board, does he disregard the concern and wish of the devotee community - to know the correct version of his involvement in the death of HDG? How long will he consciously and intentionally ignore all of us? Is anyone home in the palace? The peons are restless Maharaja! Voluntarily addressing the issues of conspiracy and homicide by poison and your involvement or lack thereof will do much to relieve your burden. Otherwise criminal investigation will probably be uncomfortable for you and will make Clinton's grand jury interrogation look like (finish the sentence with any number of possibilities).
