More Young Britons Believe In Aliens Than God
FROM REUTERS
ENGLAND, Dec 19 (VNN) LONDON, Dec 18 (Reuters) - More young Britons believe in the existence of aliens and ghosts than believe in God, a survey revealed on Saturday.
A poll of 1,000 young people aged 15-24 showed that 70 percent had "some belief" in ghosts and 61 percent in aliens. Only 39 percent had any belief in Christianity.
Church leaders said they were not surprised by the outcome of the poll conducted by the market research company Roar.
A spokesman for the Church of England said "Between 15 and 24 is traditionally the age of rebellion when people give up on religion. But in our experience people come back to the Church later in life."
