• Do you experience a family intimacy and love within our Vaishnava society?
  
• Do you have as many close personal devotee-friends as you desire?
  
• Do you feel that your marriage partner is your friend, with whom you can you communicate with openly and productively?
  
• Do you feel personally offended when someone disagrees with you or criticizes your perceptions and opinions?
  
• Do you feel included in community social events?
  
• Do you feel that you have a voice on issues that matter in your community?
  
• Do you have concerns for the youth of our society?
  
• Do you feel that women are valued in our community and society?
  
• Do you still carry anger, shame, fear, or pain from an experience in your life as a devotee?
  

Are you satisfied with your answers? Chances are not. Most devotees in our society are somehow deeply affected by at least one of these issues. Material nature is very unrelenting and unforgiving. By strengthening our association, however, we can join together and form an alliance towards Krsna Consciousness. By better understanding the nature of above issues and subsequently learning to deal with them, our relations will strengthen and our Vaishnava society will benefit.

This Relationship Conference is aimed at understanding and resolving any or all of these questions. The truth of the matter is that, to one degree or another, we are all affected by some or all these interpersonal enigmas. These Relationship Conferences have in the past successfully assisted in relieving interpersonal burdens among our Godbrothers and sisters, in Florida, Georgia, and Denver. Now, due to popular demand and by the grace of our Godbrother Svayamjata Dasa, who has been the purveyor of these healing workshops, the New Jagannatha Puri Temple in Berkley, California, will be hosting the next Vaishnava Relationship Conference (VRC).

These conferences were designed for ALL Vaishnava devotees and are aimed at breaking down the walls of impersonal barriers that separate us from each other. Sriman Svayamjata Dasa, a healer by his own nature and trade, has developed a set of practical tools for refining and increasing the quality of relationships between Vaishnava groups, marriage partners and individuals. In addition to these techniques there will be several prominent speakers, including Gopavrndapal Dasa, Rasaatala Dasa, Danistha Devi Dasi, Karanamrta Dasa, Archana-Siddhi Devi Dasi, Makunlal dasa, and members from the second-generation youth group.

This VRC is a two day event, Saturday & Sunday, January 22nd & 23rd, year 2000, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., followed by the Sunday Feast. There is a modest fee for attending, which will cover the cost of equipment rental, guest speakers’ transportation, and 2 meals of Prashadam each day.
