WORLD September 19, 1999 VNN4755 Comment on this story Sydney Sankirtan BY CHITTAHARI DAS SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, Sep 19 (VNN) — Sunday 26th September at 2pm(new time) Last month the "Inaugural sankirtan at the Domain was enthusiastically received by the public. Amazingly,it coincided with a photographic retrospective on the Domain and it's speakers over the century. Photos of Kirtan featured as the flavour of the seventies. There was a beautiful photograph of a kirtan in full swing,lead by Upendra on harmonium with Upananda and Caru(unshaved as yet) with their wives dancing transcendentally.The scene was so like the famous shot of Prabhupad's kirtan in New York it was uncanny. As we were chanting, many people approached with such happy amazed smiles on their faces I thought they must be old devotees arriving, but no, they were just very happy to see us again after so long.
