Announcing The Vishishta-advaita Vedanta Homepage

BY SANATANA DHARMA NETWORK

USA, Aug 21 (VNN) — Vishishta-advaita Vedanta Homepage

The spiritual and philosophical traditions of India represent some of the most profound insights into the human condition, the nature of reality and the path to self-realization known to humanity. Though there are six allied schools of Vedic, or Hindu, philosophy, it is without doubt that the school of Vedanta has played the most important role in the ancient history of Hindu philosophical development. The school of Vedanta represents the philosophical foundation of almost every aspect of Hinduism, Yoga and Indian spirituality as we know them today.

The Sanatana Dharma Network (SDN) and Dharmodaya Communications announces the creation of the Vishishta-advaita Vedanta Homepage (V.V.H.). This web site is dedicated to the Vedanta tradition as it is represented by the Vishishta-advaita school of Sri Ramanuja Acharya (1017-1137 C.E.).

Co-created by two scholars, Mr. Frank Morales of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Sri Vishal Agarwal of the University of Minnesota, V.V.H. offers several services:

1) A very readable introduction to the history, literature, basic philosophical positions and figures of the Vedanta school.

2) An ever-growing archive of philosophical articles by some of the leading scholars of Vishishta-advaita Vedanta.

3) A links page of resources dedicated to Sri Ramanuja, Sri- Vaishnavism, Yoga and Hindu Sites.
