WORLD May 3, 1999 VNN3783 Srila BP Puri Maharaja Health Report #5 BY RAMDAS DAS INDIA, May 3 (VNN) — Dear vaishnavas, - 5.2.99 1:00 pm India time Dandavat pranams. I am extremely happy to report that that the condition of His Divine Grace Pujapada Bhakti Promode Puri Goswami Maharaja has again improved. Below is another brief update on his condition. His Divine Grace is now eating solid foods and is chanting the Holy Name more loudly and clearly then previously. Sripad Bodhayan Maharaja has received the latest report from Guru Maharaja's doctors. They have given an extremely encouraging report and stated that they believe that Guru Maharaja will make a complete recovery over the next 21 days. This again depends on the grace of the Lord and the prayers of the vaishanavas. We are extremely fortunate to hear this news and thank you all again for your continued prayers for the complete recovery of His Divine Grace. Srila Guru Maharaja will remain in Calcutta for 21 days at the clinic and then travel to His temple in Mayapur where a special room is being prepared for him. It is not known whether Guru Maharaja will return to Jagganath Puri Dhama or remain in Mayapur. We will keep the devotees updated as His Divine Grace's condition continues to improve. What a miracle it is that at such an advanced age, Guru Maharaja can make such a quick recovery to what is normally a more lengthy process to recovery. We are all certainly blessed.
