WORLD April 30, 1999 VNN3741 See Related VNN Stories First I.R.G. Seminar In Malaysia BY I.R.G. SOUTHEAST ASIA MALAYSIA, Apr 30 (VNN) — Most recently on the 24th of April, devotees conducted their first I.R.G. seminar in Malaysia in the southernmost state, Johor. The seminar was attended by about 50 people and more would have come if not for the false propaganda of the "guru"-phile temple devotees in Kuala Lumpur. Many Malaysian devotees got to hear for the first time ever the existence of the July 9th 1977initiation letter and Srila Prabhupada's final will for ISKCON signed on the 4th of June 1977. Devotees stuck strictly to presenting the contents of the will and other important documents and no personal criticism was launched against anyone. Only the subject matter was fairly discussed.ISKCON gurus and the present GBC have been so non-transparent and secretive that most congregational members in Malaysia have yet to even know of the existence of these important letters! Most humourously, some envious parties had called many congregational members befor hand to inform them not to attend a "deviant" meeting. One brahmachari in fact was found to be secretly hiding and recording the presentation during the meeting. When humbly and kindly requested to attend the meeting, he hurriedly rejected the invitation, stating that he knew all the arguments. If such was the case, why should he remain so secretive and duplitious we wonder! Later on, on the 25 th of April, devotees were told by these "guru"-philes that the Singapore yatra was no longer in ISKCON and had been kicked out. Worse still, they even falsely noted that His Grace Sundar Gopal Prabhu, the Singapore Temple President, had been kicked out of ISKCON for misconduct - another blatant lie ! A letter to this effect had been sent to all temple presidents in Malaysia ! So much for the sincere rescinding of the expulsion order by the GBC ! The Malaysian leaders are blatantly violating the rescindment and defying GBC laws ! What has the GBC got to say for this ? Worse still, and anyone would laugh at the joke -- The devotees in KL had been giving a deliberate misrepresentation of the ritvik conclusion by saying that ritviks were not in favour of White-Western "gurus" such as H.H. Jayapataka Maharaja and were only canvassing for Indian "gurus". This is the Malaysian congregation's understanding of ritvik ! How absurd can things get !? This is a classic example of how bad things can get when knowledge and accurate information is deliberately kept hidden from innocent upcoming devotees in order to boost the ego trip of a certain "guru" and his sycophants ! The Malaysian yatra is famous for misinformation and opaqueness when it comes to the dissemination of accurate information on the happenings within ISKCON throughout the world. So much has been kept hidden from them in order to boost up the Jayapataka Swami "guru"-club ! And this clearly represents the lack of sincerity of the GBC! The ritviks are expected to tow the line and yet see how much duplicity exists. Every aspect of accurate information dissemination is tough for us. Simply to expose the existence of a simple and direct will to the members of the society for whom it was intended has been proven so difficult. This clearly indicates the low level of truthfulness on the part of the GBC and the Malaysian leaders. We are sure that more is to come from them in the form of deliberate misinformation ! But we shall endeavour further and our strength is growing by the day and with Krishna's mercy we hope to gain further inroads into Malaysia so that all devotees will be accurately educated in understanding Srila Prabhupada's will for ISKCON devoid of any tilted information.
