WORLD December 31, 1998 VNN2767 See Related VNN Stories Invitation To All GBC's And Devotees BY GAURIDASA PANDITA DASA USA, Dec 31 (VNN) — Dear GBC Members And All Devotees, please accept my respectful obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! You are all invited to attend the IRG Meeting in Los Angeles on January 16 & 17 1999. In the interest of pleasing Srila Prabhupada and Lord Chaitanya your attendance and participation would be appreciated. We all know that there is a lot of differences of opinions on the initiation issue and the best way to sort it all out is to meet and communicate in a nice Vaisnava fashion. Any doubts about the bonafideness of the rtivik initiation system can be presented and will be answered by KrsnaKant Prabhu; Yasodanandan Prabhu, myself and many others. If the GBC can defeat the ritvik system I will join their current system. If they cannot they should accept the ritvik initiation system as ordered by Srila Prabhupada and declare that all past and future initiations in ISKCON are ritvik initiations. Those who have already been initiated by a current ISKCON guru can still have faith in the initiators if they chose but should be preached to that Srila Prabhupada is our guru and he can and will take them/us all back to Godhead, if we follow his instructions. The ritvik initiations are very important instructions that need to be followed to the letter! Then ISKCON will expand like it did in the old days. The ritvik initiators or officiating acharyas, [same thing] and senior devotees will help the new devotees take full shelter of Srila Prabhupada. If anyone wants to be a diksa guru he/she should do so in their own temples; not Srila Prabhupada's. All foods should be offered to Srila Prabhupada with the standard mantras. Only Srila Prabhupadas' picture and the rest of the bonafide Sampradaya should be placed on an ISKCON Alter. We can all write good papers to prove our opinions or even our subtle desires for profit, distinction and adoration, but the only way to solve this problem is for the GBC to meet with us in a gentlemanly way which we can and will do. Will you? We sure hope so. I want to cooperate and get on with the preaching and making nice intelligent devotees again.
