WORLD  Chaturatma Prabhu Passed Away BY VISVARUPA DAS  INDIA, Nov 26 (VNN) — Dear Devotees, Hare Krishna! Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!My elder brother His Grace Chaturatma Prabhu passed away on 17 November on 11:15 p.m. in Ahmedabad. We were two brothers, always sitting on wheel-chair, handicapped disciples of His Holiness Gopal Krishna Maharaja. We went to Sri Dham Vrindavana for Kartika Festival '03. We attended all programmes at Vrindavana as Govardhana-puja and Srila Prabhupada Disappearance. >From very next day of SP Disappearance, Chaturatma Prabhu became sick due to heavy cough. Later he was hospitalized in Delhi for two days where he became able to come back to Ahmedabad. In Ahmedabad, he was again hospitalized for 7 days. However, later his health was improving and on 17th he was ok. He got last Darshan of Sri Sri Radha Govindaji on 16th, Sunday at our temple. On 17th evening, he was feeling difficulty in breathing and around 10 p.m. it was increased and he told us to start Kirtan. Finally, as last hope we took him to very nearby hospital. All devotees assembled there. We smeared the dust of Vrindavana on his body and put Krishna Balarama's charan-tulasi to his mouth, gave Radhakunda water to his head. On 11:15 p.m., just after having Darshan of 'Bhagavad-gita As It Is' he left his body. Later we did whole night Kirtan in front of the body and early morning we bathed him with water of Radhakunda, Yamuna and many sacred rivers. Kirtan was continued all the time even after burning of body. Also, fire to his body appeared itself automatically. Many devotees heard the sound of conchshell in early morning while ecstatic Kirtan was going on before the body. He was very sincere and humble soul always thinking of preaching. Our Guru Maharaja, HH Gopal Krishna Maharaja was very pleased with him and used to say that he was a good example to the world that physical impediment cannot hold back preaching enthusiasm. Krishna Consciousness is so nice that anybody can take it and make one's life successful. Even though he was almost totally disabled, he was always trying to fulfill the divine wills of Srila Prabhupada following the instruction of our Guru Maharaja. We were diseased of 'Pseudohypertrophic Muscular Atrophy" since our childhood. As per the doctors, the patient of this disease does not live more than 18 years. Chaturatma Prabhu born in 1978. So in 1996, he became very serious during Gaura Purnima. HG Radhakunda Mataji gave him charanamrta of Gaura Purnima Festival and very next day he was cured. It was like 7 years bonus-life to him. One of our Godbrother HG Vicharu Das had came to our place doing his duty of book-distribution and preched us. By reading Srila Prabhupada books, we joined Krishna Consciousness in 1995 and under guidance of our Siksa Guru HG Jasomatinandan Prabhu and HG Radha Kunda Mataji we started to progress on the path of devotional service and in 1996 we got initiation from our beloved Guru Maharaja HH Gopal Krishna Maharaja at Sri Sri Krishna Balarama Mandir, Sri Vrindavana Dham on Utthana Ekadasi. During these years, he was writing articles, going to different villages for preaching and giving lectures. He was like care-taker of many devotees here in Ahmedabad and an ideal devotee for Youth Forum guiding always for Krishna Consciousness. He was also the main devotee in management of Gita Jayanti Rathayatra Festival at Gandhinagar last year. He was with me as my care-taker beloved brother. He was always guiding me. However, Krishna wanted him to go back home, back to Godhead. Krishna has taken away his association from us. A Vaisnava is never lost, Krsna says: Na me bhakta pranasyati. He was always thankful to our parents, Mahasringa Prabhu and Madhava Priya Mataji who served him for 26 years with great affection to him. Thus, he also booked their tickets to Sri Goloka Vrindavana dham. It shows that how this Krishna Consciousness Movement is divine which is established by Lord Chaitanya Himself and followed by HDG Srila Prabhupada. In fact, Srila Prabhupada is savior of the whole world. It was all due to mercy of Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga. All glories to Sri Guru & Sri Gauranga! All glories to HG Chaturatma Prabhu!
