Kusakratha's Books And Health

BY HARI-SAURI DASA

INDIA, Sep 13 (VNN) — News about Kusakratha Prabhu's health and his goswami translations.

Over 150 titles of Goswami literature translated from the original Sanskrit by His Grace Kusakratha Prabhu are now available to the public through this online bookstore: http://www.rvc.edu/store

You will find there a complete list of titles such as: Srila Jiva Goswami's Sri Krsna-Sandarbha, Kavi Karnapura's Gaura Ganodesa Dipika, Srila Sanatana Goswami's Hari Bhakti Vilasa, Sri Gopala Tapani Upanisad, Brahma Vaivarta Purana and Srila Vrndavana dasa Thakura's Caitanya Bhagavata, etc. Please keep in mind that some of these have very limited quantities available.

Kusakratha Prabhu, a direct initiated disciple of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, joined ISKCON in 1969. We are grateful to Kusakratha Prabhu for bringing to light the original works of our Gaudiya Vaisnava Acaryas including the Six Goswamis of Vrndavana

The following message from Hari Sauri Prabhu is an update on Kusakratha Prabhu's health written September 2, 2003:

I last saw Kusakratha prabhu at the end of July in Vrindavana [I have been back in Australia since August 4]. He was thinner and the swelling on his neck lymph glands was visibly more than when I first saw him in February and he was diagnosed with throat cancer. His voice has continued to change somewhat also.

Despite this, he is in very good consciousness, he is still quite active and goes to the temple everyday from his room near the Radha Raman temple to take prasadam with the devotees. By Krsna's mercy he was not in any pain at that point either.

He is trying to get some of his own poetry, recorded freehand in over 150 small notebooks, digitized but this is proving to be a bit of a challenge because it is difficult to find someone who can type and read his hand writing and who has the time to transcribe his work. He was considering recording the writing so that they can be easily transcribed but with his throat in such a condition it may not be possible.

Your humble servant,
Hari-sauri dasa
