WORLD  Janmastami In Ahmedabad BY ISKCON AHMEDABAD  INDIA, Sep 6 (VNN) — Dear Devotees, Hare Krishna! Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!On August 20, 2003, more than 5 lakhs of devotee offered a darshan, prayer, speech & sankirtan on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtmi at ISKCON Temple, Ahmedabad. People enjoyed a lot offering Darshan to Sri Sri Radha Govindji, Shreenathjee and Gopaljee's attractive deities studded with various ornaments and beautiful clothes. More than 2000 devotees were present in the Mangala Aarti at 4.30 AM. Various programs were organized between 7 PM to 1 AM. In the welcome speech, the President of temple Shree Jashomatinandandas said" Janmashtmi is the king of all the festival and is being celebrated all over since last five thousand years because religious people of India believes shree Krishna as a Supreme Personality. In Bhagavad-gita, Shree Krishna said that those who can understand Krishna truly and completely, goes to Krishna only and there would be no birth again. Shreela Prabhupad is such a great saint succeeding Chaitanya Mahaprabhuji, who has given us Bhagwad gita in its original form and disclosed the divine form of Shri Krishna in its complete form. India's famous and leading religious speaker Shree Acharya Dharmendraji Maharaj specially attended this festival and in his nonstop and moving speech praised Shri Krishna and said that "Krishna is most attractive Lord and Krishna Kirtan is most holy, peacefull and imparts happiness. Srila Prabhupada attracted Americans by the power of Lord Krihsna's Kirtan. Srila Prabhupada was not an artist, a sports person or a great religious speaker but was cent percent dedicated devotee of Lord Krishna and that's why he got such a grand Success" His Higheness Shree Kailashpati Mishra, the Governor of Gujarat, said " The deities of Shri Shri Radah Krishna at ISKCON Temple are very devine. I am deeply moved by the "Darshan" to God wearing very very beautiful ornaments. The surrounding of the temple is great and such a big stage and lacs of devotees offering pooja to Lord Shri Krishna and Radhaji, has deeply impressed me." Shrimati Harshida Raval and Shri Janardan Raval had given wonderful program of Bhajans and all the people present there were became very happy. At midnight 12 O'clock fireworks were started and the sky was filled up with colorful stars. At 12 midnight Shankh was blown at the time of Krishna Janma. More than 5000 devotees were dancing and chanting "Hare Krishna Maha Mantra" and "Nand Gher Ananad Bhayo, Jai Kanaiya Lalki and the whole environment in and around temple was devotional. Everyone had a divine experience of a Krishna Janma. Nand Mahotsav On Thursday, August 21, on the occasion of NandMahotsav the birth celebration of Shrila Prabhupada, founder of ISKCON Movement, was celebrated as "VYAS POOJA". The president Shri Jashomatinandan Das told that "the originator of all knowledge is Lord Shri Krishna and HE gave it to Bhramaji, Bhrahmaji gave it to Naradji and Naradji gave that divine knowledge to Shri Vyasji. Vyasdevji converted that knowledge into Vedas, Mahabharat, Upnishadas and into Vedanat. "Guru has not to invent any new knowledge but he has to spread the knowledge in a summarized form which is written into various religious books mentioned above. Hence The Guru is a representative of Vyasdev and that is why the birthday of Srila Prabhupada is celebrated as "Vyas Pooja. The Pooja to Guru is not a pooja to an individual but our Guru offers that Pooja to his Guru and ultimately the Pooja is offered to Lord Krishna. Guru is not a God but a loved and faithful servant of the God and hence a Lord Krishna is pleased if we do pooja of our Guru. Vyaspuja is an occasion of getting divine knowledge. On this day thousands of people took Krishna Prasad in lunch. Whole day on the occasion of Nandotasav people offred their pooja to Shri Radha Govindji and enjoyed the Darshan. Both days more than 2 lacs of people celebrated the Krishna Janma and Nand Mahotsav and ended happily.
