WORLD  Boat Festival Mayapur 2003 BY TUSTI MOHAN KRSNA DAS  MAYAPUR, INDIA, Mar 19 (VNN) — Dear Devotees, dandavat Pranams all glories to Srila PrabhupadaThis year Gaurpurnima festival is rich in variety of festivities and one of the most favorite of the devotees and pilgrims is the Boat Festival that is held afternoon and devotees take their Lordships in Procession leaded by a traditional musical groups from south India. This festival is held in the pond of Srila Prabhupada Puspa Samadhi and the Deities enter in a beautifully decorated boat and arati is held there by senior devotees and than the boat start sailing in the big pond while fire works and kirtan is converting the atmosphere in a great and transcendental party for the pleasure of Sri Sri Radha Madhava. After that devotees take on their shoulders the Deities to a special place to perform Yulan Yatra and than in procession back to the temple.
