Sri Gaudiya Vedanta Samiti Sri Navadvipa Dham Parikrama 2003

INDIA, Feb 21 (VNN) — Dear Devotees,

This year again, Sri Gaudiya Vedanta Samiti, under the auspicious blessings of its present president and acarya, Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Vamana Maharaja, and vice president and general secretary Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja, is arranging for the devotees to observe Sri Navadvipa Mandala Parikrama in the holy Land of Sri Navadvipa Dhama.

For five days, from 13th March to 18th March, we will go by foot and visit the nine islands of Sri Navadvipa Mandala, in the company of at least 10.000 Vaisnava devotees from Bengal and other parts of India. There will be darshana of many places, kirtanas and delicious kitchari and other maha-prasadam. The festival will be organized by Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja and the leading tridandi sannyasis and brahmacaris of the Samiti.

We cordially invite everyone to come and join this wonderful festival. A minimum contribution of Rs. 1200 or US $25 is required in order to cover the basic expenses of the festival. The devotees should plan to arrive on March 12th and depart on March 19th. You are most welcome to use the simple facilities and prasadam we will provide for these 7 days.

Directions:
From Calcutta airport you can take a taxi to Navadvipa for about 1000 rupees.

From the Howrah train station (platform 1 to 5) you can take a train to Navadvipa for about 60 rupees. The Matha is about 10 min. away from Navadvipa train station, which shouldn't cost more than 10 rupees for the rickshaw.

NOTE: You should not travel to Navadvipa at night as the roads are not safe after dark.
