WORLD  Somaka Maharaja Passes Away VNN  USA, Oct 21 (VNN) — Dear devotees, with a saddened heart we announce the passing away of Somaka Maharaja. He was affected by a incurable desease and in the evening of the 18th of this month his body ceased to function.Italian born, he was initiated by Srila Prabhupada in 1972. He faithfully served in Iskcon almost his entire life. He was a sannyasi and a Guru initiator. He relinquished his position few years ago and retired. He was loved and respected by everyone. Particularly the italian devotees mourn the great soul who gave them so much.
