Gurudeva Sripad Turiya Das Mahasaya Visits Vrindaban

INDIA, Jul 28 (VNN) — Gurudeva Sripad Turiya Das Mahasaya, a senior disciple of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and founder of the Chaitanya Vaishnava Sanga (CVS) departed for Vrindaban from his home on Maui, Hawaii on July 15. Accompanied by his wife, Shaktimati Devi, Acharya Mahasaya visited Vrindaban for the occasion of Guru Purnima, the disappearance day of Sanatana Goswami, and was guest of honor at a great gathering of saints and mahants at the historic Sri Sri Radha Shyamsundar Mandir in Goverdhan's Chakleswar district. The old Radha Shyamsundar mandir is located at Manasi Ganga and was a place of bhajan for Sanatana Goswamipada. Acharya Mahasaya and his wife also inaugurated a new facility for the charity school and orphanage they have founded at Goverdhana, the Nityananda Paramarthika School.

A $25,000 gift to the school by California attorney Bob Ludlow, has allowed for the purchase of a new facility to house the rapidly growing school, which now provides basic education to approximately 90 children of the Goverdhana area who would otherwise be receiving no education. The new facility was inaugurated with a ribbon cutting ceremony and Bhumi Puja (blessing ceremony), attended by prominent mahants from throughout Vrindaban. On this occasion, Shrila Goswamipada seva to Sri Bhagwat Charan on Nikunja Lilamrita (Disappearance Day of Sanatana Goswami). At that time, the disciples and followers of Srila Sanatana Goswamipada all shaved their heads and carried out a Sankirtan procession. Since that time till now this Mahotsava called Muriya Purnima, or Guru Purnima Mahostava, has been going on in Goverdhana area. From that time the devotees have been worshiping in the same way according to the parampara.

Therefore Shri Radha Shyamsundar Mandir, Chakleswara, Goverdhan, headed by Gurudeva Sripad Turiya Das Mahasaya and Mahant Shri Tamal Krishna Das Maharaj and disciples, are inviting guests to participate in this Tirobhav Mahotsava (Disappearance Day Festival) as presented below.

1. July 15-21st Bhagawat Parayana and Shri Shri Sanatana Shiksamrita and Hari Kathamrita.

2. July 22nd Shri Sanatan Goswami Smriti Dharma Sabha and Welcoming of the devotees and guests for the Adivasa Mahotsava.

3. July 23rd Mangala Archana, after mangala arati, the holy maha mantra akhand naam yagya, bhog arati.

4. July 24th After Mangala Arati, Guru Pooja archana. Muriya Sankirtan procession inaugurated by respected Panditji Shri Krishna Das Babaji, Sripad Turiya Das Acharya Mahasaya (founder of Chaitanya Vaishnava Sanga), and many other saints and mahants of Goverdhan Virakto Mahasabha and Braj Mandal, all saints, mahants, and devotees of Srila Sanatan Gowamipadji Maharaj, participating in Sankirtan Yagna.
