THE ADVENT DAY FESTIVAL OF LORD GAURA HARI

Dear Devotee,

The most auspicious advent day festival of the benevolent Lord gaur Hari, the great saviour of this age of Kali, will be celebrated on Thursday 28th of march, 2002, at Sri Mayapur Sri Gopinath Gaudiya Math. On this special occasion, following the sacred instruction of our beloved gurupadapadma His Divine Grace Nityalila Pravista SRILA BHAKTI PRAMODE PURI GOSWAMI MAHARAJ, the Founder Acarya of Sri Gopinath Gaudiya Math and a dearmost disciple of His Divine Grace PRABHUPADA SRILA BHAKTI SIDDHANTA SARASVATI THAKUR, we have arranged a four day-long Navadwip Dham parikrama that will begin from march 23rd and will continue until the 26th, the day preceding the days of auspicious invocation and the advent anniversary of Lord GAURA HARI. All of the above programs will take place under the gracious guidance of Tridandi Swami Srila Bhakti Bibudha Bodhayan Maharaj, whome Guru-Padapadma Srila Bhakti Pramode Puri Goswami Maharaj has choosen as the next president & successor Acharya of his Sri Gopinath Gaudiya Math.

• March 22nd Friday, Gaura-Astami
  The auspicious day of invocations for Navadvipa Dham Parikrama. Continuous Harinama Sankirtana from sunrise till sunset and thereafter Hari Katha Classes from 7.30 till 8.30 p.m. (There will be regular Hari Katha class and Kirtan every evening of the Parikrama)
  
  
• March 23rd Saturday, Gaura-Navami
  The circumambulation of Sri Mayapur, Antardvip, Simantadvip and Rudradvip. The visiting places are Sri Yogapith-the Birthplace of Lord Gaura Hari, Srivas Pandit's residence, Murari Gupta's House, Sri Chaitanya Math, Sardanga, Sridhara pandit's residence, Cand Kazi Samadhi, Sri Rudradvip and Madhai Ghat.
• March 24th Sunday, Gaura-Dasami 
  
  Circumambulation of Sri Godrumdvip and madhyadvip, Visiting places Sri Svananda-sukhada-kunja, the Bhajan place of Thakur Bhaktivinode, Sri Surabhi-kunja, Thakur Bhaktivinode's Samadhi, Suvarna-vihar, Hari-hara Ksetra, Sri Narasimha Palli etc.
  
  
• March 25th Monday, Gaura-Ekadasi (Fasting for Amlaki Ekadasi)
  Visiting places: Sri Belpukur, the maternal uncle's house of Gaura Hari. Visiting Iskcon Mandir, Nandan Acharya's Bhavan, Sri Chaitanya Gaudiya Math and then returning to Sri Gopinath Gaudiya Math.
  
  
• March 26th Tuesday, Gaura-Trayodasi (At the end of Dwadasi)
  Parana (breaking fast) between sunrise and 7:34 A.M. Srila Madhavendra Puri-Pada's Disappearance festival. The circumambulation of koladvip, Ritudvip, jahnudvip and Modadrumdvip, Visiting places : Sri Praudhamaya, Mahaprabhur Bari, Sri Devananda Gaudiya Math, Sri Chaitanya Sarasvat Math, Samudra-garh, Sri Gaura Gadadhara Temple in Campahati, Vidya-vacaspati's residence at vidyanagar, Sri Ritudvip, jhanu muni's ashrama, Srila Vrindavan Das Thakur's ashrama at Mamgachi etc.
  
  
• March 27th Wednesday, Sri Gaura-Caturdasi 
  The auspicious day of invocations through Hari-Sankirtana before the Holy Advent day of Lord Gaura-Hari. Also the observance of Lord Krishna's Fire-festival (Vahnutsava or Cancara).
  
  
• March 28th Thursday, Sri Gaura-Purnima
  The Sacred Advent Day Festival of Lord Gaura Hari (fasting) 
  Continuous reading from Sri Caitanya Caritamrta from morning till evening and special worship, Abhiseka, Bhoga Offerings, and Arati, At 6pm: Special Festival of Reading and Chanting Lord Gaura's Divine Advent Pastime from Sri Caitanya Caritamrta.
  
  
• March 29th Friday, (The last day of festivities)
  The breaking of fast between sunrise and 9:40 A.M. The Anandotsava (Festival of Delight) of Sri Jagannath Mishra, The grand distribution of Mahaprasad to everyone.
