New Braja Mandala Parikrama Book Released

BY SYAMARANI DASI

INDIA, Dec 15 (VNN) — New Braja Mandala Parikrama Book Released

Respected Maharajas, Prabhus, and Didis, Dandavat pranamas. Jaya Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga.

Since Nov.1, 2001, Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja has been leading a very successful Vraja Mandala parikrama, guiding over 600 pilgrims from over thirty countries around the world in the authentic traditional procedures of performing parikrama, as laid down by our predecessor acaryas. Moreover, he is daily training them in the development of the inner moods required to take the greatest advantage of the spiritual opportunities afforded in this month.

On Nov. 1st he took his followers to Visrama Ghat, on the bank of the Jamuna in Mathura, to make their vows for the month of Kartikka. Due to the fact that the transcribers, editors etc., who are responsible for delivering to you Srila Maharaja's lectures are engaged so much of the day in the parikramas and have less time than usual to work, and due to the wonderful fact that the Braja Mandala Parikrama book was just released from the printers in Delhi a few days ago, you will be sometimes receiving lectures, but more often receiving chapters or parts of chapters of the Braja Mandala Parikrama book.

You will be getting much more this way. Srila Maharaja only speaks about ten or twenty percent of his katha in English, and the rest is in Hindi and Bengali. Sometimes he calls on senior disciples to speak, and sometimes he calls on his English translators to translate what he had just said. Now, here on harikatha, you are getting so many details in English. Many details are similar to what he is speaking now in Vrndavana, many details are additional, and in some places it may be less. Hopefully, by the causeless mercy of Guru, Gauranga, Caitanya and Nityananda Prabhus, you will also receive some of the additional instructions he is giving in his classes. As you may know, the classes are also available in audio form from Srila Maharanja's various websites.

The following is an exerpt from the beginning of the Parikrama book. Your aspiring servant, Syamarani dasi
