Shri Vishvanatha Cakravartipada's Prema Samputa (The Love-box)
Once in the morning Hari came to Shri Radhika's courtyard in the beautiful dress of a woman and sat down, shyly covering His eyes with His crimson veil. When Vrishabhanu's daughter saw Him from a distance, She said: "How amazing! Lalite! Look! Who is that beautiful, lotus-faced girl whose dress and ornaments are enchanting and who makes My courtyard shine with Her sapphire luster?" Hearing this, Lalita and Vishakha came before disguised Krishna and said: "O slender girl! Who are You? Where are You from? Why have You come here?" But Krishna did not reply. In a pensive mood, Shri Radhika then came up to Krishna and asked Him: "Who are You? Your luster enchants My mind. Are You a goddess? You are so beautiful!"
Krishna was silent, so Shri Radhika said: "O Bhavini! (handsome or noble girl) Quickly satisfy our curiosity by introducing yourself to us! Know yourself to be our intimate friend! O lowered-faced one! Why should You be shy or afraid before us?" Hearing these words, the disguised K___a sighed deeply, and seeing that He partly uncovered His face, remaining silent, Shri Radhika said: "O beautiful one! I understand that You must have some heartache, otherwise You wouldn't be in such a condition! O Kanjamukhi (lotus-faced girl)! Tell us of your heartache! Trust Me completely, I'll try to remove Your distress. The burning blisters of Your heartache can only be extinguished by revealing Your mind to a heart's friend!"
"Are you feeling separation from Your lover? Are you sorry to see some faults in him? Or are You maybe afraid of him because you offended him in some way? Or maybe some of your enemies have gossiped about You to Your lover? Or maybe your husband is not so great, and for that you feel some disgust in your mind, after which you became attracted to some other, rarely attained man, for which you - like me - are chastised by your superiors with harsh words? That must be why you're so sad!"
