All Glory to Srila Prabhupada and all pure devotees of the Supreme Lord Jagannatha! We are very pleased to inform community of devotees, that Maria Schmidova, the woman who on June 29, 2000 in Puri, made a complaint stating her daughter had been raped by a number of devotees, has confessed the charges are false and signed a formal withdrawal of all allegations. This was done in court in Austria last Friday, March 30, 2001. Once the legal translations are submitted to the Indian courts, the four men, who have been languishing in prison since last August should be released at last. It has been a tortuous time for Bhakta dasa, Mandali Bhadra dasa, Mayapura Chandra dasa, and Ashok Sahoo, who have suffered the severest mental torture due to being falsely accused and imprisoned.
