WORLD  Last Earthquake Report BY NITYANANDA RAM DAS INDIA, Mar 3 (VNN) — OUR CAMP ENDED ON 16TH FEB. Over 1,50,000 plates of PURI, SABJI + KHICHADI served, 1600 kits consisting rice, oil flour + vegetables distributed + stoves, lamps, blankets, candles, kerosene etc. Kirtan at camp site every day during PRASAD distribution, evening Bhagavada-Gita class at camp by Dr. Savyasaci Das, 25 young boys took vow to chant one round-JAPA MALA, 2 small books given, chanting of Mahamantra by Mobil vans. PRASAD distribution at ADIPUR + 12 other villages. Over 50 volunteers helped in the camp. Dr. Savysaci Das treated many patients with minor ailments at camp. Phone: 83451 Village: Bhadreswar Taluka: Mundra, Kutchh Pin Code: 370411 Due to unexpected earthquake on 26.01.2001, the entire residents of BHADRESWAR village were put in a fearful awkward situation, but fortunately from ISKCON-Vadodara and Vallabh Vidyanagar centre a team of Srila Prabhupad's followers timely reached our village, observed that the village people were hand to mouth condition, as they lost their homes and relatives. They immediately established tent in the village and started kitchen. These ISKCON devotees helped as a lot. They provided us PRASAD (complete food) twice a day, allowing all of us sit-together without any discrimination of cast and creed. They distributed blankets, household kits, medicines etc. and provided us so many facilities which are badly needed by us. They served our village continuously keeping kitchen acting day and night for 14 days. I am in my capacity as a SARPANCH (elected head of the village), on behalf of the villagers expressed our deep feeling of gratitude that we will never forget the obligation of the devotees of ISKCON through and out our lifetimes. Not only you had served PRASAD for 6,000 people of our village, but your team had distributed the PRASAD surrounding other small 6 to 7 villages in interior and also provided to them the necessities. We hearty thanks to all of the devotee who had served us. Actually we do not find appropriate words to describe and glorify your selfless services. Over and above these words of thanks, we sincerely beg to expect from you that our BHADRESWAR village, having poputation of 6,000, is too much poor. No one in our village is rich. There is no any big company established in the village. Till how the village have not received any aid neither from Govt. nor from any other private firm, except cash-doll money and 5 kg grain from Govt. In view of this, future days of the village people is troublesome, because we are staying out-side the village in a temporally built tent on open ground of field. Kindly bestow your mercy to us and adopt our village under your shelter and manage to construct our 1,000 houses. This is our expectation from you. Kindly fulfill our this expectation.
