ITV Pirate
BY NRSIMHANANDA DASA
USA, Jan 4 (VNN) Dear Prabhus,
Hare Krishna.
We are sorry to report that Brahmanada dasa prabhu, aka Bruce Scharf, the early Srila Prabhupada disciple, is pirating ITV's tapes and selling VCD's without permission, royalty, or any other authority. He is just taking the lakmsi for himself. He is fully aware of ITV's position on this matter because he abided by the copyrighted restrictions of use while in the USA. However, now that he is in Vrndabana and other parts of India, he is selling the Srila Prabhupada VCD's right in the temple.
Someone from the Delhi temple just purchased Rs9000 worth of Srila Prabhupada VCD's from him. The shopowner across the street from the temple bought a bunch of them from Brahamanada and is selling them to devotees, etc.
While ITV is happy to make reasonable agreements with its distributors, pirating is against the GBC resolutions, international law, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, Srila Prabhupada's own instructions in this matter.
Srila Prabhupada instructed Yadubara prabhu to make money by selling films to the temples and funding more productions from the profits. Obviously, every tape or VCD that is sold without compensation to ITV takes away the very income that Srila Prabhupada had hoped would finance more Krsna conscious films.
Please do NOT purchase any goods, especially ITV material of Srila Prabhupada, from Brahmanada or anyone else who is distributing his product. All ITV authorized material will include ITV's name, address, and distributors contact information. Report Brahmanada's unsanctioned and offensive sales to the temple authorities. He should not be allowed to use ISKCON for his nefarious business dealings. Thank you.
Hare Krishna.
Your servant,
Nrsimhananda dasa Director, ITV
