In the Chaitanya Charitamrita, Madhya 19, text 138, Shree Chaitanya Mahaprabhu tells us that there are 8,400,000 different species of life living throughout the entire universe. In his purport to this text, A C Bhaktivedanta Swami, Prabhupada, comments: "This is a challenge to the so-called scientists and philosophers who assume that there are only living entities on this planet. The puffed-up scientists say they hav gone to the Moon and that there is no life there. This does not correspond to the version of Shree Chaitanya Mahaprabhu." Nasa (Never A Straight Answer) however, presents this photograph of the Moon and claims to have gone to the Moon. Not only that, but they claim to have found no life. It is important for devotees of Krishna, as well as all followers of the Puranic version, to be able to refute these claims in such a way that the general populace will understand. It behooves the devotees to do this not only in order to protect their Vedic belief system, but also in order to protect the population from being lied to and plundered.
