WORLD January 30, 2000 VNN5367 Comment on this story SRI Makes Sweeping Advances BY SRI USA, Jan 30 (VNN) — SRI / The Spiritual Realization Institute founded by His Holiness Jagannatha Dasa Puripada announced today that henceforth all full time SRI devotees will be covered by Community Blue health insurance. "As far as we know we are the first Vaishnava group to offer free health care to devotees." Vrnda Devi, public relations director commented. "It is a sacrifice to make it happen but we feel strongly that we owe it to our membership." In other SRI news a new Gurukula building is now completed and the school (which opens September 1, 2000) is now accepting applications from interested young people grades 5th through 9th. Qualified students will recieve a 100% free educational grant from the organization. Applications may be had by contacting Ms Devi at sri108@webtv.net. Finally, SRI has opened a new center in Thamel, Katmandu, Nepal as of December 31, 1999. The president is Sriman Vraj Prasad Dasa Bramchari, a new student of Puripada.
