"These paintings depict the pastimes of a beautiful reality in the Gaudiya Vaisnava tradition. The stories comes from scriptures such as the Srimad Bhagavatam, the Mahabharat and the Ramayan. Those scriptures are very ancient and very sacred. It is therefore impossible to give a true rendering of the Personality of Godhead in a visual format. However, these paintings are attempting to give you a glimpse of the spiritual world, as it is depicted in those scriptures. It is described as a "window to the spiritual world".
