Vrinda Devotees Perform Indian Classical Music In Government House - Argentina

ARGENTINA, Jan 13 (VNN) — Last Dec. 12th a group of three musicians performed as part of the Indian cultural delegation in a meeting called "Horizons of Asia and Pacific - Eastern countries in Argentina". Ambassadors of all Asian countries met at the conference hall in the "Casa Rosada", Argentina's Government House. The Argentinean president, Dr. Carlos S. Menen, attended the conference and personally greeted the VRINDA musicians and the Indian delegation headed by the ambassador Mr. Nigam Prakash. Two semi-classical compositions were performed on the Sitar and Tabla.

The musicians were: Mr. Ariel Chab-Tarab, a VRINDA devotees friend, who studied for four years at the Banaras Hindu University; obtaining a diploma in both Sitar and in Hindi, and Rasikananda Das, a disciple of Srila B.A. Paramadvaiti Swami, serving in the Buenos Aires Vrinda Temple He studied Tabla in India for many years under the guidance of Sri Shyam Sriv.
