Reception will be at the American Airline VIP lounge. Kirtan , puja and welcome. Drive to the Oakwood Corporate Apartments and move in those who are booked. May 30th,2000 Morning program @ 9:00 am. in the lounge-party room downstairs at the Oakwood Apartments. To be followed by lunch. Evening program @ 5pm in the lounge-party room downstairs at the Oakwood Apartments. To be followed by dinner. May 31st,2000 Morning program @ 9:00am in the lounge-party room downstairs at the Oakwood Apartments. To be followed by lunch. Evening program @ 5pm in the lounge-party room downstairs at the Oakwood Apartments. To be followed by dinner. June 1st,2000 No programs scheduled. Srila Narayan Maharja leaves for Badger from the Los Angeles International Airport @ (am, pm). Accomodation: Oakwood Apartments are located at 4111 Via Marina in Marina Del Rey which is just north of the LA Airport and can be reached by either shuttle bus or taxi. The shuttle buses outside the LA Airport will say Marina Del Rey. Tell the driver to take you to the Oakwood.The cost will be about $12. However if you call or flag down United Taxi they will take you there for $12 if you make it clear to them that that is the fare you were quoted. Rooms at the Oakwood are already booked up. You may try and see if there are any cancellations. Rooms are $100/studio, $144/single room and $288 for a double room. There phone number is 310-751-4545. Best Western Motel is located across the street from the Oakwood Apartments and have rooms for $110 and $120. Rooms would have to be booked well in advance.Their phone number is 310-823-5333, or in the USA 888-823-5333. Another Motel also located opposite the Oakwood is the Foghorn Harbour Inn which has rooms for $150/night and should be booked well in advance. Their phone number is 310-823-4626. For those of you who are a tight budget and want to get by for as little as possible then we recommend the Boy Scout Boat House which is 1.3 miles from the Oakwood Apartments. Those on a tight budget can stay without charge. There is a general room upstairs in the Boat House and also individual boats which can hold from two to three people. As regards cooking, we will be giving certain facilities to those who volunteer for the three days.Please call in advance to Rishav dev or email if you can help for either the lunch, dinner preparation or both. Cooking will be done at the Masonic Lodge which is located at the corner of Venice Blvd and Watseka Ave. next to the Iskcon Temple. The Culver Hotel run by Mr. Hy is located at a short walking distance from both the Iskcon Temple and the Masonic Lodge and has rooms for $59 a night. The management will offer a shuttle service in the morning and evening to the Oakwood Apartments.
