Verse One<\/strong><\/p>\n Hari, after seeing his incomparable self in a mirror in Vraja Verse Two<\/strong><\/p>\n His was a sweetness bathed Verse Three<\/strong><\/p>\n Putting on a loin-cloth and over that a saffron wrap, Verse Four<\/strong><\/p>\n The vine of bhakti, Verse Five<\/strong><\/p>\n The Lord, accepting these Gaudiya Verse Six<\/strong><\/p>\n Always standing behind the Garuda pillar
\nwas born in Gauda in order to taste his own sweetness
\nlike the most dear of his sweethearts, Sri Radha,
\nthe lord taking one body with the golden hue of the other.
\nAlas! Will that Son of Saci come into the path of my eyes again?<\/p>\n
\nin the honey-love of the Lord of Puri;
\nHis feet were repeatedly worshipped
\nby the pure service revealed by Govinda;
\nHis face was illumined
\nwith the countless lotus-
\nlife breaths of Svarupa;
\nAlas! will that Son of Saci come
\ninto the path of my eyes again?<\/p>\n
\nhis huge body surrounded all about as if by rays of the golden mount,
\nsinging loudly and joyfully his own sweet names;
\nAlas! will that Son of Saci come
\ninto the path of my eyes again?<\/p>\n
\nthat has the shining rasa of love as its fruit,
\nunknown even to previous sages expert in bhakti
\nand hidden away by the Veda,
\nthe merciful lord
\nout of great compassion
\nrevealed in Gauda
\nAlas! will that Son of Saci come again

\nas his own in the world,
\ngave them an instruction like a father:
\n“Hey there! Chant ‘Hare Krsna’
\nregulating your count!”
\nAlas! will that Son of Saci come again

\ngazing before him at the Lord of the Blue Mountain
\nhis own long, shining body drenched
\nby tears flowing from his eyes through great love;
\nAlas! will that Son of Saci come again
