New Vrindavan To Move
BY ISKCON OF NEW JERSEY
USA, Oct 27 (VNN) Sri Sri Sita-Rama, Sri Laksmana, and Lord Hanuman -- the beloved deities worshiped at New Vrindavan for 14 years -- will be moving to ISKCON of New Jersey on November 6th (Diwali). Diwali, marks the auspicious return of Rama, Sita, Laksmana, and Their monkey army to the kingdom of Ayodhya, after 14 years of exile in the Dandaka forest.
The decision was made after it was determined that due to the difficulty in taking care of the many deities New Vrindavan already has, the deities would be best served and most pleased in another temple. ISKCON of New Jersey was very eager to have Their Lordships come to New Jersey so that they may give darshan to the many Rama Bhaktas in the growing Indian Community here.
As one devotee remarked,"After being worshiped in the forests of New Vrindavan for 14 years, Their Lordships are coming 'home' to mercifully rule over the New Jersey temple. This is surely the Lord's re-enactment of His original pastime, on the most blessed and appropriate occasion of Diwali."
ISKCON of New Jersey will hold a huge festival on Saturday, November 6th for the reception of Their Lordships. The program will begin promptly at 4, and will include a fire yajna, abhishek, enlivening discourse, cultural events, ecstatic kirtans, feast, and much more. Special guests will include H.H. Bhakti Tirtha Swami, H.H. Bhakti Caru Swami, H.H. Nityodita Swami, Mother Malati and many other senior Vaisnavas. Everyone is invited to come.
