| USA November 26, 1998 VNN2561 Do Not Attend Our Programs Here USA, Nov 26 (VNN) — The following massage was left on the answering machine of Gour Sundar das on Sept. 14th 1998: Gour Sundar, Hare Krishna, this is Danavir Dasa Goswami. Prabhu, I have decided in discussing with some of my colleagues that although with great respect, I respect all Vaishnavas, including those who are serving in other institutions - such as Gaudiya Math. But at the present time due to the circumstances between the two organizations I've decided that I will not have any visitors who are members of the Gaudia Math or any of the affiliated organizations. So, please, do not take any offense. This is nothing personal but after 14th or 16th years of experience in trying to work with the two organizations (ISKCON and Gaudiya Math) I decided it is not practical, it doesn't work out at this point. So, I request you calmly to not attend our programs here. I do wish you the best in your spiritual life, in your Krishna Consciousness but that is my humble request. And again, please, do not take any offense because I am making this policy for all devotees who are affiliated with Gaudia Math. I wish you the best and Hare Krishna. Thank you. A letter given to Sanat Kumara: Bhakta Program Institute NOTICE September 27,1998 Dear devotee of Lord Krsna, Please accept our humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. It has come to our notice that you are affiliated with an organization which has allegedly performed subversive activities toward the International Society for Krishna Consciousness in the nation of Columbia, etc. This matter is being investigated and will hopefully be either verified or disproved soon. Until that time however, we of the Bhakta Program Institute request you to kindly not visit our center at 6309 McGee St., Kansas City, Missouri, 64113 nor make contact with any of the Institute's members. If you desire further discussion or information you may call me at (816) 361-6167 between 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday. In conclusion we sincerely apologize to you as a Vaishnava and to your senior leaders who may not be in any way responsible for these allegations. We are not casting any judgment upon the devotees of the institution to which you are affiliated, however it is our sacred duty to uphold the dignity and safety of ISKCON by disassociating ourselves from possible threats.
