"Prabhupada Day" Festival

Prabhupada Sankirtan Society of New York invites all devotees and friends to attend the joyous celebration of Srila Prabhupada's Disappearance Day on October 25th, 1998 at Tompkins Square Park between 2 and 6 PM.

Due to the efforts of Kapindra Swami and other devotees of Prabhupada Sankirtana Society, the City of New York recently recognized the tree under which Srila Prabhupada began his sankirtana mission in the West as "Prabhupada's Tree." Even today native New Yorkers fondly remember Srila Prabhupada's early days in New York and the early days of his movement during a unique era of American history.

Devotees are also invited to attend the marriage of Sriman Brahma-bhuta Das and Srimati Vani Devi Dasi, which will be held under Prabhupada's Tree. His Holiness Kapindra Swami will officiate for all festivities and functions under the inspiration and eternal presence of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
