USA 09/11/1998 - 2195 Madonna Orders Aesthetic Vedanta
USA (VNN) - Entertainer Madonna Ciccone asked her attorney to contact Mandala Publishing recently to acquire copies of Swami B.V. Tripurari's most recent publications, Aesthetic Vedanta and Form of Beauty, and other graphic material. Madonna will be performing live on the MTV awards show September 10th, and she palns to use editorial and graphic materials from Swami Tripurari's books and other Mandala publications in her performance.
Swami has also been asked to consider a televised appearance with Madonna, in which he would discuss the "spiritual origins of the erotic dirve." Thus far Swami has expressed little interest in the proposed appearance. To date Swami is the author of seven books and numerous articles. He is presently working on a contempary edition of the Bhagavad Gita, entitled Bhagavad Gita, It s Feeling and Philosophy.
