Hansadutta Das Leaves Hospital

USA, Jul 9 (VNN) — Shriman Hansadutta das has been released from the Northern California hospital where he has been staying while recovering from a massive heart attack. He joked that in order to revive him, the paramedics had to break several of his ribs. He said, "This modern medicine appears miraculous because it is aimed at keeping alive those whose karma is swiftly running out. It is a great business, therefore demonic personalities in the medical industry falsely propagate that 'in the near future we will cure everything - even old age and death.' Thus their so-called miraculous medicine has created an even more fearful eixtence within a fool's paradise.
As a example of fear, just see how the American tourism industry has been disrupted by a few bearded men in caves on the other side of the world. Many Americans are so fearful that they want to duct tape their homes and simply remain inside glued to their television gurus! Here in Northern California life is as near perfect as can be hoped for on Earth. Here people have all sorts of amenities for enjoyment of this body.
They have big SUV's, yachts, jet skis, airplanes, motorcycles, motor homes and mansions with five toilets...Prabhupada uses to tell us that you can get anything here in this material world except Krishna Consciousness. He said that Americans have all been rewarded for their past pious activities to live comfortably for a few short years of spot life. So I can understand that when these materially pious activities which support the American, the Californian, wear down, then he is demoted to the kingdom of Yama because generally they are not renewing their piety. They do not understand the laws of karma hence they do not close the slaughter houses. They have made a conoisseur industry out of their wine vineyards here in Northern California, simply for intoxication and illicit sex life.
So here this big hoax of the medical industry is simply a way of making money by off a sideshow that pretends to delay the inevitible. All around me in this hospital there is so much fear, suffering, false hope while doctors and nurses work overtime trying to keep the jiva soul within the material body. This body is simply stool and urine and can never house the atma comfortably. Therefore we all need to chant Hare Krishna because this world can never be our home. Our home is with Krishna. Yet still I am thankful that they have used their expertise to revive me, because this Krishna conscious message must be preached here and Prabhupada asked us so many times to make this attempt, even if we are not very expert. Our only job should be to follow in Prabhupada's footsteps by explaining Prabhupada's message of Krishna Consciousness to others."
Hansadutta das continues to recover in the company of friends, family and fellow devotees and has returned to his regular sadhana. When asked what his plans are he quoted Shrila Prabhupada, "I have my plans, and Krishna has His." But he added, "By His grace something must be done. I am just getting started."
