FLORIDA, USA, Apr 18 (VNN) Hare Krishnas host the event filled with live music, food, and more.
Food, entertainment, and music is being offered today and tomorrow at the Hare Krishnas 4th annual Festival of India at the University of Florida. Tents full of informative displays and vegetarian food as well as live music and plays are some of the activities at the festival. Temple president of the Hare Krishna student center Savyasaci Das says the festival is intended to inform students and public about India's spiritual aspects.
Das adds that Alachua County Commissioner Rodney Long will attend the festival today to speak about how the festival offers benefits to student's cultural education. The goal behind the festival is to spread understanding of the science behind personal identification and God.
The festival of India is on the Reitz Union's North Lawn and is from 10 to 3 today and tomorrow. All students and public are welcome to visit the festival, and tonight there will be a traditional ceremony from 6-8 pm.
