Krsna Comes To Sedona - Update

 USA, Feb 20 (VNN) — Dear Prabhus, Please accept my respectful obeisances. All glories to jagat guru Srila Prabhupada!!! Glories to Sri Sri Guru And Gauranga !!!
Thank you all for all your calls and E-mails about our new preaching efforts here in Sedona. The response has been overwhelming and very encouraging. Devotees I lost contact with such as Sridhara in Australia, are writing me and I am so happy.
I would especially like to thank Nityananda Prabhu, the original, for calling with his support and encouragement. He has already shipped us some free books for distribution and offered future support especially if things go well. Thank God for Vaisnavas like him!
The only negative response I received was from one of my own friends; a Prabhupada anuga! He said I should not send my articles to VNN. I responded by saying that VNN devotees are favorable to Srila Prabhupada and it is the biggest read Vaisnava Website there is. I get alot of people and devotees writing me because they saw my article or report on VNN. I say run a better and more popular website and I'll send my writings to you! The dogs may bark; but the (Krsna) caravan moves on.
A 24 Karat solid gold Prabhupada Pendant and necklace will be awarded to anyone who donates more than $1,000. The necklace weighs over an ounce!! There is a bigger size available also. I design and manufacture these and other auspicious Vedic jewelry. All donors of even a dollar will be rewarded many times over by the Lord Himself. Every donation big or small is appreciated by Krsna just as Lord Rama was pleased by the kicking of the sand by the humble spider to help build the bridge to Lanka. I want to make a nice Vedic style temple here in the west where many people can come and advance spiritually. Is it all a dream or will it be for real. Only with others cooperation can this happen.
Some of the devotees thought from my last report that we already have an official temple and wanted to come right away. So I need to clarify a few points.
1/ We don't have an official public temple yet. That takes time. We have a temple in our home of course where we will have semi private programs, but for the general public we will start out by renting a public hall. I did this many years ago in Seattle and it worked very well. You can rent a hall in almost every town for about $25 + or - dollars a day. Then you put out advertisments in key places like Health food store bulletin boards; School Bulletin boards and others. The best advertisment is to do Harinama and give out invitations.
2/ Anyone who wants to join in on the preaching work will have to be self sufficient until we get more facilities. We are teaching people how to be Krsna Conscious in their own homes for now. If the support here is good enough, we will expand more and more and have more facilities for more fortunate souls.
3/ It is not a 'free for all' where any philosophy will do. We follow the philosophy taught by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada as given in his unedited books etc.
