Srila Narayan Maharaja Hawaii Festival Update

USA, Dec 2 (VNN) — We have received checks and calls from a number of devotees on the mainland and in Canada for attending the festival on the Big Island of Hawaii with Srila Narayan Maharaja from Jan.10th to the 17th.
But we still have some room left at the Wild Ginger Inn. We have reserved the entire Wild Ginger Inn at the discounted prices we posted($100 per person for 7 days), This is substantially less than any other accommodations in Hilo and is within walking distance of the festival programs.
This is the last chance for any devotees that are interested in these accommodations to send their checks in. Checks need to be received here in Hawaii by December 7th. That is our arrangement with Wild Ginger Inn.
This means that any devotees sending checks, at this point, should do so by Priority Mail, especially from Canada, as first-class regular mail can take 7 to 15 days to reach here from parts of the mainland and Canada. Call us if you have already sent a check from Canada.
After December 7th, devotees will have to make their own arrangements with the Wild Ginger Inn(if there are any rooms left). The telephone number is 808-935-5556. Ask for Shawn and mention that you are with the Bhakti Yoga group for a 20% discount.

The Festival Fees are $10 per day/ $70 per week, which includes 3 meals a day.
Children 3 to 12-years-old are half price and children under 3 years are free So, the lodging & festival fees will be only $170 per person total, if received by December 7th, 2002 (unless it is a child - you do the math).

The Big Island is an inter-island flight from Honolulu(Oahu) which is approximately $65 each way with a coupon.
If you make arrangements to fly directly into Kona on the Big Island, you will have to arrange your own transportation to Hilo, which is about a two hour drive. One travel agent has told us that some of the rental car companies do not have a drop-off fee from Kona to Hilo, so it may make sense to get the cheaper flight, if available, for Kona from the West Coast. But there is an approx. $50 drop-off fee from Hilo to Kona(unless you keep the car for the week). So figure this in with your travel arrangements.
Lastly, we have an opportunity for someone with construction, carpentry or landscaping skills to come early, if they are free to do so.
The Big Island Hawaii Festival Needs Help
The devotees here on the Big Island of Hawaii are busy getting the main festival site together, which includes renovating a house for Srila Narayan Maharaja to stay in during the Jan 10th-17th, 2003 festival.
If there are any devotees planing to come to the January 2003 Hawaii festival, that have carpentry and/or landscaping skills, we would like to invite you to come early and help us prepare a beautiful place for Srila Narayan Maharaja. We have a place for a limited number of devotees to stay with us up until the 10th of January 2003. We need this help asap, so please contact us as soon as you can.
