Gaurahari's Video

Yesterday, I watched one hour of Gaurahari's video, and listened to a 90 minute cassette, both sides, and I am very impressed by his talking/preaching.. he is not saying anything contradictory to Srila Prabhupada and or Lord Jesus Christ. Rather he seems to have synthesized nicely the teachings of both and appears to have steady desire to go on preaching. It is more than refreshing and good to see and hear a non fanatical preacher sincerely serving the Maha Bagavata's in his own way, which we are ALL meant to do.. Srila Prabhupada wanted for all of us to become potent preachers and it is when we actually develop some bhakti in the heart that our preaching becomes really potent, by affecting others.

It appears that Gaurahari prabhu has assimilated the philosophy of Lord Caitanya as promoted by Srila Prabhupada, and that he is preaching it nicely. Some of his students are shedding tears of happiness to have come across one who is presenting God consciousness so nicely. I fully realize the careful skepticism of my god brothers and sisters, but I have no doubt that any sincere soul will see and hear that Gaurahari prabhu is not saying anything contradictory to Srila Prabhupada's teachings but rather presenting them all very nicely.. Including the fact that persons teaching the philosophy of Lord Caitanya as presented by Srila Prabhupada, can not be elected to position of guru. Guru, is at least one who has some heart connection with bhakti and the Lord. It is certainly more than wonderful to give Srila Prabhupada's teachings to others, but position of guru is more than simply transmitting this knowledge. I am happy to see in my small world of experience, at least one person who appears to have developed some continuous bhakti from Srila Prabhupada's teachings and who is having some very appreciative students.
