I Did Not Blaspheme

USA (VNN) - A statement from Sura das (see also VNN story# 1595)

Dear Devotees,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

You may recently have seen a false and malicious text sent out on e-mail concerning blasphemous statements about exalted Vaishnavas that I allegedly spoke. Please understand that these statements were sent out by a disgruntled former devotee in Los Angeles, whose own Guru, Kavicandra Maharaja, has rejected his statements as complete fabrications.

None of my associates here (Svavasa Prabhu, Arcita Prabhu, Dravida Prabhu, Nirantara Prabhu, my wife, etc.) have ever heard me make such nasty statements, nor has anyone else claimed that I made them. Nor did anyone in New Dvaraka ever report this alleged gross misconduct to our GBC representative, Badrinarayan Prabhu.

I have gone before their Lordships Rukmini-Dvarakadish and sworn that these blasphemous statements never came from my lips! I beg for your forgiveness for any offense that I have ever committed. I am a fallen dog, but I would never say such horrible words.
