Time Magazine's 100 most important people of the 20th century

USA (VNN) - Next March (March 1998), TIME magazine will publish the first of several issues celebrating the 100 most important people of the 20th century. As each issue is published, CBS News will broadcast a 1-hour Prime Time special on the personalities in the issue, produced in partnership with TIME. This is an opportunity to show the importance of great Vaishnavas in the world. Some Vaishnavas have suggested that the Vaishnava community get together and nominate Srila Prabhupada.

Below are some instructions on how to vote:

Using your Web Browser, go to this web site: http://www.time.com.
Click on the "Time 100 Who defines the 20th century." icon.
If you want to vote for Srila Prabhupada put "A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada" (exactly) in every category you feel fit.

Some found the "Scientist & Healer" category most appropriate amongst the ones listed. Right now, Einstein is the leading person in this category with 20,000 votes, followed by Edward Teller with 17,000. At the bottom is Carl Sagan with 6,000 votes. Some have suggested that scientists like Einstein and Carl Sagan have caused significant damage to the spiritual world view and have led to the establishment of a materialistic society. Madonna is 4th in the list with 14,000 votes.
