GERMANY, Dec 3 (VNN) It looks like some of the men in this movement have a lot of fear ofwomen, and therefore they are trying to keep us quiet. The latest storyhere in Germany shows that the women are waking up and not simplyswallowing everything (in the name of chastity). I thought it might beinteresting for our international readers.
One sannyasi here in Germany (self-proclaimed member of the "old school")has been satisfying his emotional needs though a relationship with oneparticular woman. (This is what Jagadisa Pr. explained so nicely in hisfarewell letters - a phenomenon which over the years has been no secret tous women.)
Now, this time he chose the wrong one. She is an intelligent, self-awarewoman - not a member of the old school like we are (the "chaste and humble"ones). They were completely entangled in one another, and after some timeshe openly confronted him with the question of marriage. Of course he wascompletely shocked - she wasn't playing by the old rules. He, a fixed-upsannyasi should consider marriage? How can the stupid, lusty mataji proposemarriage to a renunciate?
So, what did he do? He ran away. We just heard that his latest plan is todo puja - he wants to hide behind Lord Nrsimhadeva. My own idea is thatthis plan can't work very well, Nrsimhadeva likes to have His devotees INFRONT of Him, not behind. Unfortunately the problem still exists that thismataji has been put through the emotional mill, giving her energy to helpmaintain someone else's "devotional" career, without getting much inreturn. And unfortunately she is neither the first nor the last to sufferthe effects of the "old-school"-double-standard.
Interesting is of course that we have recently heard from "authoritativesources" that women have no soul (again) and therefore maybe these thingsARE authorized...
