Srila BV Narayana Maharaja's UK Visit 29.6.2000
BY MADAN MOHAN DASA
ENGLAND, Jun 2 (VNN) Srila BV Narayana Maharaja's UK visit 29.6.2000
Information for Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja's UK Visit 2000 from Thursday 29th June
We respectfully and warmly invite you to come and stay with Srila Narayana Maharaja and devotees from all around the world for seven days of beautiful classes, jubilant kirtanas, and sumptuous Krsna-prasadam.
It is Srila Narayana Maharaja's expressed desire for all the devotees and himself to remain in one place together for the duration of his visit. Fortunately, in the limited time and availability, we have been able to find an ideal location. There is a large auditorium for Maharaja to speak and devotees to honour prasadam, as well as comfortable accommodation. Thus we are left now with only one anxiety--that by Guru and Krsna's grace, we can penetrate Maharaja's deep moods and imbibe his teachings.
krsna-bhakti-rasa-bhavita-matih kriyatam yadi kuto 'pi labhyate tatra laulyam api mulyam ekalam janma-koti-sukrtair na labhyate
"Pure devotional service in Krsna consciousness cannot be had even by pious activity in hundreds and thousands of lives. It can be attained only by paying one price--that is, intense greed to obtain it. If it is available somewhere, one must purchase it without delay." Srila Rupa Gosvami's Padyavali, text 14 quoted in CC Madhya-lila, Chapter 8, text 70
