By now you must have read about the bold new propaganda being made by our respectful child protector champions in the GBC. The news is that ISKCON GBC has declared that they will fund another $750,000 over the next 3 years to give grants to abused children and to investigate past abuses of children. This is like giving some body a post dated check. Dangle the carrot in front of a donkey to keep it pacified. Worst come to worse these propaganda announcements can be used in the court that they have been making efforts to address the child abuse in ISKCON. So it is "proactive propaganda" for the purpose of defending themselves in the courts. The fact is that for years the leaders knowingly played dumb and ignored child abuse complaints. Now the same leaders are presenting themselves as the child protector champions. Until last year, Murlivadak was in charge of handling Child Protection Office. Then he was exposed that he himself had sexually molested some children. So any one with some intelligence will understand that the leaders are not serious because they paid more than a million dollars to an ex-leader Harikesha instantly (to keep him quiet or he may expose the dirty laundry of other leaders) while the children will have to wait for their post dated check. One may ask where has all the money gone from Harikesh's zone which GBC had claimed last year that it was secure? How much of that fund is there? Who has control over that fund?
