To further the prediction of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, that the Holy Name ofKrishna will be preached in every town and village on earth -- prthiviteache yata nagaradi grama -- the devotees at Gosai Publishers located in SriRangapatna, South India are now publishing an electronic magazine,"Saranagati."

The inspiration for the name of this publication was derived from anoriginal collection of songs and compositions of Srila BhaktivinodeThakura, the founding father of the Krishna consciousness movement in the20th century. For that original collection of songs, which was namedSaranagati, the Thakura wrote an introductory song, and in that song heexplained the very gist of saranagati as being the indispensable necessityof the true devotees - sikhaya saranagati bhakatera prana.

"Saranagati" presents sastra (scripture), writings of previous Acharyas,and essays by contemporary Vaishnavas (sadhus) that will inspire onetoward a life of self surrender and pure devotion at the lotus feet of SriCaitanya Mahaprabhu. Saranagati is indeed the indispensable necessity ofthe true devotees.
